WHAT'S ON IN BALLINA?

Built at the mouth of the Richmond River is the town of Ballina with more waterways and beaches than most towns on this coastline. Poinciana trees bloom in the streets around Ballina and pelicans soar in the sky. There are many restaurants and cafes where you can sample fresh local seafood and cuisine.
Visit the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum, stroll the Kerry Saxby river walk and enjoy the bike paths, or take your pick of fun activities for the kids. Enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Richmond River or take your own boat and experience the many waterways that Ballina has to offer. Journey the teaming wetlands of North Creek by kayak or check out the annual migration of the humpback whales from any of the coastal headlands.
There’s great fishing everywhere especially at Flat Rock and Angels Beach where you can also catch a surf on one of the many white sand beaches. Catch a car ferry to South Ballina to enjoy beautiful and remote beaches. Ballina is blessed with natural beauty, offering easy access to the great outdoors. We truly hope you enjoy it all.
